Singapore MRT hours of operation begin at about 5:30 am and end at around midnight. It closes earlier on weekends. When checking the hours of operations, many people find it confusing because there are two MRT operators in the country, and you can go to the wrong website and fail to find the information you want. It can be frustrating.

The two MRT operators in Singapore

  • SMRT run by SMRT Corporation Ltd
  • SBS run by SBS Transit. 

Complementing the rail system are the two Light Rapid Transit (LRT) systems in Bukit Panjang, and Sengkang and Punggol, which acts as a feeder service that brings commuters closer to their homes.

SMRT operates the North-South Line, East-West Line, Circle Line, Thomson-East Coast Line and the Bukit Panjang LRT. 

SBS operates the North East Line and the Downtown Line, and the Sengkang-Punggol LRT.
